Microgaming has launched new online slot The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The first to use Microgaming’s new Cinematic Spins technology, which allows gamers to see clips from the film with every spin, the game is part of the licensing agreement signed with Warner Bros Digital Distribution last year.

Scientific Games has acquired online marketing services provider GameLogic for an undisclosed sum. GameLogic supplies internet-based loyalty programmes for US lottery and casino players as well as a suite of interactive games. Scientific Games president and chief executive Michael Chambrello said the buy would support the strategy established through its SciPlay joint venture with Playtech to supply US lotteries with egaming solutions. “This acquisition, along with our Sciplay joint venture, puts us in a uniquely strong position to help lotteries take full advantage of the marketing potential of the internet,” said Chambrello.
