William Hill launches Orbis LiveOdds ahead of election
William Hill has launched Orbis Technology's LiveOdds product to coincide with today's UK general election, which is predicted to be one of Britain's biggest betting events of the year.
WILLIAM Hill has launched Orbis Technology’s LiveOdds product to coincide with today’s UK general election, which is predicted to be one of Britain’s biggest betting events of the year.
Launched in November 2009, the software enables William Hill to stream data directly to the customer’s screen, allowing the customer to see the opportunities and prices update in real time, and is based on Orbis’ OpenBet LiveServ technology.
William Hill Online chief executive officer Henry Birch said: “We’ve made a significant investment in building our in-running betting product to date and [LiveOdd] is an important part of making William Hill the place to bet in-play.
Orbis chief executive David Loveday said: “In-running betting is set to be the future of the egaming industry and Orbis remains at the forefront of this field. Orbis’ LiveOdds technology will be well demonstrated by William Hill on election night but also other major betting events such as the World Cup.”
William Hill is the second operator to offer the product after Paddy Power, which launched LiveOdds in February.
