Sky Bet named sixth-best place to work in the UK
Leeds-based operator the only gambling company to make Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work 2019
Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) was today named the sixth-best place to work in the UK by employee review company Glassdoor, with the operator ranked higher than tech giants like Google and Microsoft.
The operator was the only betting and gaming company to make Glassdoor’s 50 Best Places to Work 2019 rankings, as well as being the second highest tech business and the top company in Yorkshire.
“We’re very proud to have achieved such a high ranking from the people that matter most – our employees,” SBG CEO Ian Proctor said.
“We also recognise the importance and reputation of the Glassdoor survey, which of course makes the achievement even more significant, as we continue to attract and retain the very best talent,” he added.
#Christmas came early today at @SkyBetCareers🎄 we're not just the SIXTH best UK workplace, according to careers ratings website @GlassdoorUK, we're also the SECOND top tech workplace in the UK. We're proud of our culture, our people and doing things our way. #BPTW #SBGLife https://t.co/w6Za8lUMX8

The Leeds-based operator was higher in the list than a number of major technology companies, including Google and Microsoft, with utilities firm Anglian Water coming first.
Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work report was compiled by examining the numerical ratings and feedback of UK-based employees on its site, with last year’s winner Google slipping to 13th.
Today’s announcement comes after SBG recently won the inaugural Employer of the Year category at the EGR Operator Awards 2018.
