Exclusive: Former GiG project manager joins Metal Casino as head of sportsbook
Sven Strey will lead the launch of the operator’s GiG-powered sports betting product in H1
Former Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) sportsbook project manager Sven Strey has joined Metal Casino in its newly created role of head of sportsbook, as the operator prepares to launch its betting offering.
Before his time at GiG, Strey was a CRM manager at affiliate marketing firm Europe Entertainment. Prior to that he worked at a handful of small online brands in Malta including AnnaCasino and Youwin.
Metal Casino managing director Kim Larsen told EGR he expected Strey to drive the new vertical to great heights.
““MC is absolutely thrilled having such an experienced and knowledgeable guy joining our crew,” Larsen said
Strey said: “I have been in gaming for over 10 years now with various responsibilities from CRM manager, to country manager and affiliate manager.
“My experience is fairly [evenly] split between casino and sports but it has to be said that I am a sports nerd and my passions lies with sports and betting,” Stray added.
The operator announced it had signed GiG as its sportsbook platform provider in October last year. The launch is planned for H1 2019.
