Relax Gaming names former Kindred CCO as new chief exec
Current Relax Gaming chief Daniel Eskola to move to newly-created chief commercial officer role
Casino platform provider Relax Gaming has appointed former Kindred chief commercial officer Tommi Maijala as its new chief executive officer.
Current Relax Gaming CEO Daniel Eskola will take up the newly-created role of chief commercial officer for the business following the appointment and will focus on entering new markets and strategic partnerships.
Eskola said he was “very excited” to be able to dedicate more time towards the business’ commercial operations and said he hoped to add to the existing work the commercial team had delivered during the previous 18 months.
“Tommi is a highly respected individual in the industry and I look forward to working with him to realise the untapped commercial potential for Relax Gaming and unlock further growth as our product offering and reputation grows,” Eskola added.

In his most recent role, Maijala served as chief commercial officer for Kindred Group’s Malta office and led the groups operations in the UK, France and Australia.
He has previously served as director and CEO of the iGame Group before that business was bought by Kindred Group in 2015.
Maijala said he was “extremely honoured” to join Relax Gaming and lead the business going forward with Daniel Eskola.
“Relax Gaming has been on a fantastic journey since 2010, growing significantly in the last two years in terms of product, offices, talent and market visibility. It’s great to be a part of such a promising future,” Maijala added.
Eskola also joined Relax from Kindred back in 2018.
Relax Gaming currently has offices in Malta, Alderney, Sweden, Estonia, Finland and is licensed by the UKGC and Malta Gaming Authority.
