Camelot B2B arm receives WLA responsible gambling certification
National Lottery supplier achieves accreditation for its responsible gambling policies
The B2B arm of UK National Lottery operator Camelot has been accredited as a certified Responsible Gaming Supplier by the World Lottery Association (WLA). The accreditation for Camelot Lottery Solutions comes after the firm met WLA responsible gaming standards for associate members. Camelot Lottery Solutions is one of only a handful of lottery suppliers to have earned the accreditation. The WLA Responsible Gaming Standard is made up of eight areas including employee programme, product and service development, research, advertising and marketing communications, remote gaming environment, client awareness, stakeholder engagement and reporting. As part of the assessment process, Camelot’s existing RG programme was appraised by third-party company Corporate Citizenship. The firm assessed the company’s operations before completing a statement of alignment comparing RG standards with existing WLA standards. Camelot Lottery Solutions CEO Wayne Pickup welcomed the WLA’s certification as an important marker for the group’s RG standards. “Player safety is the starting point for any product or solution we design, build, and deploy, and we’re proud that our products and services operate in some of the strictest regulatory environments in the global lottery ecosystem,” said Pickup. “We believe that lotteries grow best, and communities benefit most, when players are responsibly engaged,” Pickup added. The responsible gaming certification award to Camelot Lottery Solutions is valid until June 2023.
