EPIC Risk Management appoints former PwC director as MD
Les Murray previously served as a consultant, coach and facilitator to the gambling-harm minimisation firm
EPIC Risk Management has appointed Les Murray as its new managing director to spearhead the consultancy’s expansion plans. Murray will work closely alongside founder and CEO Paul Buck to maximise awareness of EPIC’s education programmes in gambling harm prevention, having just launched a US subsidiary in EPIC Risk Management US. Murray holds experience as a consultant, coach and facilitator to EPIC, having previously worked with numerous large blue-chip institutions. Boasting 35 years of prior experience, Murray previously led business transformation programmes as chairman at Vistage UK, business development director for Littlewoods and as a director with PwC in the consulting services division. “Demand for EPIC Risk Management’s life-changing training and consultancy services has continued to grow during Covid-19,” Murray said. “The work on reducing gambling-related harm has never been more important with the Gambling Act Review in the UK, the acceleration of sports gambling across the US, coupled to enquiries for our support from leading organisations around the globe. “I’m excited to get started and look forward to contributing to the high impact work EPIC delivers on helping to take the problem out of gambling,” he added. Murray’s arrival has coincided with a further investment in staff, including Sam Brooks as evaluation and research manager, Joanna Whitehall as sustainability manager and Alan Smart as a harm prevention manager.
