Betway boosts Spanish presence with Levante sponsorship
Malta-headquartered operator becomes the official shirt sponsor of both Levante and Leganes ahead of new La Liga campaign
Betway has agreed a two-year deal to become the official shirt sponsor of Spanish top-flight football club Levante U.D.
The new deal adds to Betway’s presence in the Spanish market after the operator agreed a similar partnership with La Liga side C.D Leganes last month.
Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said: “The season is fast approaching and we are delighted to have agreed a deal with Levante U.D ahead of yet another exciting La Liga campaign.
“We’re always looking for ways to extend the reach of the Betway brand throughout Europe and this is a great opportunity to do just that.
“Levante U.D is a club steeped in history and we look forward to a successful partnership,” he added.
As is the case with many gambling operators, football sponsorships are a key component in Betway’s marketing portfolio.
The Malta-headquartered firm is already the principal sponsor of Premier League club West Ham United and the official betting partner of Werder Bremen in Germany and Anderlecht in Belgium.
Levante president Francisco Javier Catalan Vena said: “Signing with such a recognised international brand brings huge prestige to Levante.
“We have a continued ambition to grow over the next two years in La Liga and at the same time look forward to this partnership helping Betway to grow in Spain.”
