This weekâs news round-up features a new app for BetVictor as well as a Facebook clamp down on data abuse
BetVictor released Instabet, its fourth mobile application which has been designed to drive mobile traffic by using push notifications to deliver price offers exclusive to mobile. The app also allows users to set a default stake and bet with just one tap. Mobile app developers Red 7 collaborated with BetVictor to release the app, with mobile marketing firm Urban Airship contributing towards its push messaging capabilities.
Facebook removed two leading mobile analytics firms from its Mobile Measurement Program after an external audit found them to have breached the terms of service. Kontagent and HasOffers were found to have kept data beyond permitted timeframes and failed to partition it away from other collected data. Social gaming companies including WMS, Caesars and Zynga are known to have been clients of both Kontagent and HasOffers.
Betfred added its fifth payment option to its mobile sportsbook application by integrating Skrillâs 1-Tap payment solution. 1-Tap saves a userâs personal and payment details once an initial payment is made, allowing all future payments to be made in-app through just one tap. âThey [customers] expect to be able to manage all their online accounts on the move and so giving them this ability is a huge priority for us,â Dennis Luckett, head of payments at Betfred.com, said.
Mobile casino operator LeoVegas signed a licensing agreement with games supplier Yggdrasil Gaming for its entire lottery and casino games portfolio, including Yggdrasilâs mobile-optimised Jokerizer slot and Lotto7 lottery product. LeoVegas co-founder Gustaf Hagman said Yggdrasilâs âstrategic understandingâ of the mobile market would help it build a strong offering on the platform.
White Hat Gaming revealed that it was to integrate Ezugiâs HTML5 and native Android live casino games into its mobile casino product. Blackjack, roulette, baccarat and live lottery games will all be added, and Ezugi CEO Kfir Kugler said the supplier would also be introducing a live keno game in the coming weeks.
Austria-based operator Interwetten revamped its interwetten.com and iwcasino.com mobile sites, incorporating a complete visual redesign and the addition of new features to its live-betting product. âOur ambition is to offer customers the best product possible,â Werner Becher, a spokesperson for the operator, said.
