This weekâs round-up includes app updates from BetVictor and Unibet, and a host of operators optimising for iOS 8
BetVictor released its second update to its sports betting app in as many weeks in order to add new features and rectify a number of bugs that had arisen in iOS 8. Customers now have the option of opting in or out of receiving marketing messages within the app, while the registration process has also been streamlined. A number of improvements to the appâs stability and performance were also rolled out.
Meanwhile Unibet added a tranche of new games to its Spin City casino app, the first new games it has added since August. Slots titles Firestorm, Sinbad and Magical Dice were added to the app last weekend alongside 12 new trophies which contribute towards its gamification features. The operator recently released a brand new tablet-optimised casino product, prompting CEO Henrik Tjarnstrom to talk up its product portfolio.
Elsewhere Betfair, bet365 and 888 all released minor updates to their iOS apps this week making various adjustments for iOS 8 and fixing a number of bugs. Upgrades to Betfairâs fixed-odds sports betting app included optimisation for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as stability improvements to its Cash Out functionality and bet slip stability.
UK National Lottery operator Camelot has said it is to launch a range of new mobile products throughout the rest of the year following the release of its new online and mobile platform. The operator recorded a 3.8% increase in revenue from instant win games on the back of new mobile scratch cards and chief executive designate Andy Duncan said it had âreally exciting plansâ for the second half of the year.
Malta-licensed gaming firm GVC new has launched HTML5 mobile slots titles and table games provided by 1X2gaming on the mobile platforms of its betaland.com casino brand. âOur focus was to produce a balanced suite of both slots and table games and also to ensure they worked on all operating systems, including Android, iOS, Windows and Blackberry,â Kevin Reid, CMO at 1X2gaming, said.
