Skrill secures Leeds United partnership
Payments specialist inks sponsorship agreement with Premier League entertainers
Payment solutions provider Skrill has put pen to paper on a sponsorship agreement with Premier League club Leeds United. Under the remit of the deal, Skrill will become a live payments option on Leeds United’s international online store. Skrill will also be afforded prominent branding opportunities across the Yorkshire outfit’s online and social media platforms, as well as in-stadia advertising via LED boards at Elland Road. Additionally, the pair will work together to develop several exclusive content campaigns to provide fans with player access and entertainment. The partnership will activate on 13 March for Leeds’ home fixture against Chelsea. Lorenzo Pellegrino, Skrill CEO, said: “We already know from our football partnerships that fans enjoy the benefits of Skrill and that our service is very relevant to them. “We will be making the most of this new relationship to add value to the club’s payment ecosystem and our own valued customer and partner base to make it a winning formula all round,” he added. Andrea Radrizzani, Leeds United chair, said: “We are delighted that Skrill is joining us as a partner. Both of our brands have a strong and loyal fan base in the UK and internationally, and we look forward to rewarding our fans through this partnership.”
