A round-up of the latest launches and deals in the egaming industry, including Coral's new betting partnership with Chelsea FC
UK bookmaker Coral has signed a two and a half year sponsorship deal with English Premier League football club Chelsea. Coral will become the club’s official European online betting partner until the end of 2015/16 season and offer Chelsea fans exclusive betting offers each week.
“We spent considerable time planning and deciding on the right partner in this market sector and in Coral we have found, like ourselves, an established name that continues to grow both domestically and internationally,” Ron Gourlay, chief executive at Chelsea, said.
French operator France Pari‘s B2B division Sportnco is to supply tote specialist ZEturf its fixed odds betting and trading platform as part of a deal which will see ZEturf launch a new sports betting offering prior to this summer’s World Cup.
The contract, which is pending ARJEL approval, will also see Sportnco collaborate with ZEturf for the launch of its new mobile betting app.
Betfuze has launched a mobile app which aggregates Twitter posts to gauge positive or negative sentiment and help predict the most likely outcome of a sporting event. The idea was developed after computing company IBM noted that during last year’s Wimbledon tennis men’s single final 42% of Twitter posts about Andy Murray were positive.
The app also features odds comparison functions and artificial intelligence that tailors what sporting events are included based upon previous activity.
Sports betting affiliate freebets.com has launched a new iOS app, developed in conjunction with Betfred app development spin-off Degree53, as part of a push into the mobile sector. The app features a list of free bets and tips from former England footballer Matt Le Tissier.
“As any company in the gaming space knows, mobile is set for a huge year. It’s been a long process getting the final product ready for market but the whole team is delighted with the end version,” David Archer, owner of freebets.com, said.
Egaming supplier iSoftBet has partnered with Twentieth Century Fox to develop a slot game based upon drama television series 24 ahead of its new series starting this spring.
“People will now have the opportunity to engage with the show in a new way as they await the show’s highly anticipated return this May with 24: Live Another Day,” Michael Doyle, VP of interactive games at Fox Consumer Products, said.
Innovate Identity and Gambling Integrity Services have joined the Global iGaming Advisors Network. Set up by consultancy Gaming Edge Associates, the collaboration aims to become ‘one-stop-shop’ for professional services to the egaming and gambling industry.

Sport Mediastream, the streaming division of At The Races (ATR), has signed a long-term contract with The Football Conference that will give ATR the exclusive right to produce and distribute an audio/visual service of live Conference matches, archive footage and match data.
The terms of the contract allow for ATR to distribute the service to licensees in territories across the world excluding the UK and Ireland.
Sweden-based Football Addicts, developers of the live score mobile application Live Score Addicts, has partnered with Ihre Consulting to develop and sell advertising solutions on the application.
“By forming this partnership we can continue to deliver and develop the best rated overall app in the marketplace today while Ihre Consulting can focus on the commercials but also the partnership we are interested in forming,” Patrik Arnesson, CEO at Football Addicts, said.
Malta-based data services provider BMIT has completed the multi-million euro expansion of one of its data centres, used by egaming operators in the country. The company offers hosting, co-location and cloud services.
“This latest investment will further strengthen our leading position as the largest and most trusted data centre in Malta,” Christian Sammut, CEO of BMIT, said.
Mobile casino operator Madaboutslots has released a new dinosaur-themed slot game, called TriceraSlots, this week. The five-reel, 50-payline slot game is the first developed solely by the operator having previously outsourced game development to London-based Probability.
Designed using Probability’s Slot-O-Matic gaming development platform, the game features various dinosaur visuals and sound effects.
SBTech has revealed improvements to its live betting and mobile sports book products, while an entirely new platform has been designed specifically for the Asian market.
