GameAccount Network plots floatation
London-based B2B platform and content supplier looks to raise 18m in proposed listing on London's AIM market
GameAccount Network (GAN) is aiming to raise 18m in a stock market floatation later this month with Irish press reports stating the firm could be worth more than 60m.
As reported in the Irish Independent, and confirmed by eGaming Review this morning, the B2B gaming platform and content firm intends to float on Dublin’s Enterprise Securities Market and London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) with an announcement due by the end of the week.
Today’s news comes as London-based GAN prepares to launch its first egaming products into the US market via a commercial partnership with Betfair, and it is thought the money raised in any float would be used to expedite its growth in North America.
The supplier will provide a platform and game content to the BetfairNJ-branded site which is also set to go live later this month.
The float is the second attempt by the Irish firm to go public following its aborted 2005 plan to raise £100m to buy a US-based rival by floating on AIM.
GameAccount eventually pulled out of the 2005 deal after discovering the acquisition target was unprofitable.
