888 appoints new COO as part of organisational reshuffle
Itai Pazner to oversee day-to-day operations of the firm as CEO Itai Frieberger adopts a more strategic focus
888 has promoted its B2C chief Itai Pazner to chief operating officer, as part of an organisational reshuffle that will see CEO Itai Frieberger give up some operational duties to focus on long-term strategy.
Pazner has been senior vice president of the B2C division for the last six years, where he oversaw the development of 888’s customer facing brands.
In his new role, Pazner will take overall responsibility for 888’s day-to-day operations including marketing, product and technology development and HR.
He will report directly into CEO Itai Frieberger, who in turn will focus more on long-term strategic objectives and overall business development.
An internal search for a replacement for Pazner’s B2C role has also begun.
“I am delighted to announce this appointment to support 888’s continued growth and development,” said Frieberger.
“Itai Pazner is a hugely experienced, talented and valued member of our team who has made a significant contribution to 888’s outstanding growth across international regulated markets in recent years.
“I am looking forward to working closely together with Pazner alongside [CFO] Aviad Kobrine and the rest of the 888 team as we deliver the next exciting phase of the company’s long-term growth.”
Frieberger said the appointment was the “natural evolution” of the company’s organisational structure as it continued to grow across verticals and new markets.
“This new structure will allow me to devote increased focus on driving 888’s long-term strategic objectives and overall business development, which I am very excited about,” the CEO added.
Pazner said he was “delighted” to accept the role, adding that the new structure would “help to support and enhance 888’s operational excellence, efficiency and creativity as we continue to grow as a global leader in online gaming.”
