Amuso hires Ads Dot Com's Wong as marketing boss
Online cash trivia business Amuso has hired former Ads Dot Com acquisition head Don Wong as its new head of marketing, just a week after the Australian was replaced at Ads Dot Com.

Australian Wong joins the online cash trivia business after six months at Ads Dot Com, Intercasino’s marketing agency, where he was responsible for brands including InterCasino, InterPoker and Parbet. As reported on EGRmagazine.com, Ads Dot Com hired Ladbrokes egaming affiliate and online marketing manager Fotis Bachtsevanis as its new head of affiliates last week. .
Amuso’s live, interactive cash trivia game are syndicated across media properties including MTV, MySpace, Bebo and Associated Newspapers, publisher of the UK’s Daily Mail, Evening Standard and Metro newspapers. The business also recently launched a Facebook application and a partnership with US online comedy portal Heavy.com.
Wong is the company’s latest hire since Amuso set up a new London office and has hired a new director and new heads of sales and product from Google and AOL last month following a US$1.5m investment from Mangrove Capital Partners and a number of angel investors.
Amuso chief executive Barak Rabinowitz said: “Don’s appointment rounds off our strong and highly experienced management team of web veterans from Google, Yahoo! and AOL, and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
Wong’s role will span both the London and Barcelona offices. Prior to joining Ads Dot Com, Wong was head of e-commerce at pornography business Tongue in Cheek
Amuso was recently shortlisted for the Rising Star trophy at the EGR Awards. Winners will be announced at the EGR Awards gala dinner, which takes place at London’s Old Billingsgate market on 30 November, the first night of EGR Live, eGaming Review‘s free-to-attend conference and exhibition at the same venue.
