Bally records record Q2 revenues
Gaming supplier generates US$238m revenues for three months ended 31 December 2012.
Bally Technologies has posted record second quarter results with new CEO Ramesh Srinivasan crediting the uptake of the supplier’s growing game range and mobile apps for the success.
Bally recorded US$238m in revenue for the three months ended 31 December 2012, a 13% year-on-year increase, and $81.1m adjusted EBITDA, a 20% rise on the $67.2m posted in Q2 2012.
Srinivasan, who replaced Richard Haddrill as CEO in November last year, also pointed to growth in the gaming supplier’s mobile division, with October 2012 Bally’s best ever month for mobile application downloads.
He said: “Our cloud-based mobile platform…continues its strong momentum and has now grown to more than 6 million users…We are seeing significant growth both in new [mobile] customer acquisitions, which has grown by more than 50% year-over-year to over 75% now; and in the delivery of new applications and features for existing customers.”
Bally recently agreed a deal to offer online casino table games from SHFL Entertainment, while former Bally Interactive director Michael Daly joined SHFL as VP of online gaming earlier this month.
