Betfred adds live streaming to sportsbook
Operator signs deal with At the Races and Racing UK to add live streaming of horseracing to desktop and mobile sports betting sites
Betfred has integrated live streaming into its online sportsbook as part of a major upgrade released this week.
The operator teamed up with content providers At The Races and Racing UK to introduce live coverage of UK and Ireland-based horseracing for both its desktop and mobile products.
Streaming services were added to the mobile app last week ahead of the desktop product, which is due to receive live streaming later today.
Speaking to eGaming Review this morning Joe Ellis, sportsbook development manager at Betfred, said that providing customers with the ability to watch races they have bet on was an “essential addition” for the operator.
“It’s a great step forward for us though and will pave the way for more innovative development hereon in now that we’re realising our initial goal of attaining parity with industry leaders,” he said.
Last month multi-vertical operator 888 also added live streaming to its sportsbook, called BetWatchWin, allowing customers to watch sporting events including tennis, basketball, ice hockey and German Bundesliga football.
