Betfair adds partial cash out to mobile
Operator moves to stay ahead of rivals with updated mobile sportsbook featuring enhanced cash out functionality
Betfair has brought partial cash out to mobile for the first time as it looks to up the ante after seeing its cash out feature become industry standard.
This week BetVictor was the latest operator to add cash out to its mobile app, following Ladbrokes in May, and the feature is now a commodity across the channel.
But Betfair, which advertises its app alongside the tagline âthe home of cash outâ, has now moved to strengthen its product further with the addition of a feature already popular on its desktop sportsbook.
Also included in the iOS update is a new football match page design which includes data visualisation, as well as improvements to in-play betting which the operator says allows users to see their most relevant markets more easily.
During Juneâs full year results, CEO Breon Corcoran highlighted product as a central driver of the firmâs growth, describing it as the âkey reason why customers join and stay with Betfairâ.
He also displayed his commitment to further enhancements in the field by increasing the headcount of the product development team by 60 during the financial year.
The update follows last monthâs overhaul of the firmâs mobile exchange app, which saw improvements to the bet management section including a dedicated open bets tab, in a move likely designed to increase trade volume among those accessing the exchange from mobile.
