Betfair adds PayPal to mobile sportsbook payments portfolio
Operator bolsters payment options on its fixed-odds sportsbook app five months after exchange integration
Betfair has bolstered its mobile sportsbookâs payments portfolio with the addition of PayPal more than five months after it did the same on its exchange application.
The operator rolled out a new app update this morning to complete the integration and PayPal has become the third payment option for users of its fixed-odds sportsbook app.
PayPal will be hosted alongside card payments and voucher-based deposit system Ukash, incorporated into Betfairâs payments portfolio last month.
Betfair is the second operator this month to add PayPal to its payment roster after Ladbrokes incorporated the online payment processor to its Mobenga sportsbook app as part of a wider update prior to the start of this summerâs World Cup.
Ladbrokes claimed that 30% of its mobile customer base listed PayPal as their primary method of payment, and the payments processor has more than 15 million UK-based account holders.
