Betfred develops voice-activated mobile app for Euro 2016
Operator says newly-launched product is ideal for in-play betting
Betfred has developed a voice-activated mobile app tailored specifically for this summerâs European Championship in a move the firm says will set it apart from its rivals.
From 4 June, the Betfred Voice Bet APP, which has been developed by Betfredâs in-house innovation team, will be available to download on both iOS and Android devices.
The launch of the app will also be backed by a new television campaign starring former England footballer Stuart Pearce.
Betfred chief executive John Haddock said the Voice Bet APP would provide a point of difference, particularly for in-play punters.
âThe Voice Bet APP has been specifically designed for the Euros and although all pre-match and tournament bets are available it is absolutely ideal for in-play,â Haddock said.
âItâs been developed by our in-house innovation team and they have worked to understand potential customers with the Voice Bet APP even recognising betting jargon.â
News of Betfredâs voice activated app comes after Unibet launched its own version of the technology earlier this year.
Greek operator Stoiximan recently launched its new iOS mobile app featuring voice activated betting in order to take advantage of the growing mobile market in the country.
