Betting Jobs director and MD departs after 17 years
Chris Miller announces departure from firm after nearly two decades of leading recruitment specialist
Betting Jobs director and MD Chris Miller has left the online industry jobs board provider after 17 years with the firm. Miller joined the company in 2005 and leaves the company in the hands of Jennifer Innes and John O’Neil. Innes has served as managing director at the company since June 2006, while O’Neil became a director in September 2019 after joining the firm in March 2012 as a senior consultant. Miller will still work as a partner at specialist advisory business ic3group. Miller reflected on his time with the company, charting its rise from a small startup into a respected cog in the industry machine. He said: “It’s been a privilege to be at the heart of building something successful. From three of us in a small, grim-looking office space in 2005 to what the business is these days, I’m proud to have been part of a hell of a journey and had a lot of fun along the way. “Whilst it’s sad to be closing this chapter, I can at least be happy to be departing with Betting Jobs in fantastic shape. It’s in the more-than-capable hands of Jennifer Innes and John O’Neill to take it even further, with the backing of a brilliant team. “Not going to name drop everyone from over the years, I’d be here for a while and will no doubt forget someone, but you all know who you are,” Miller added. Innes commented: “What a journey we have shared together, how we’ve grown in business and also grown up together, travelled the world and shared so many great memories. “Not only have you shaped the careers of many in the industry, you have been there constantly and helped shape mine also. Saying thank you for the last 17 years does not seem like enough to say. “Please take the rest you need and deserve, and be assured I’ll be here to help in whatever the future brings for you. You leave behind you a team and company that is far stronger for having you,” she concluded.
