BetVictor launches major World Cup app update
Bookmaker releases overhauled app with new World Cup-focused features on the eve of the tournament
BetVictor has launched a completely redesigned version of its iOS sports betting app with a number of new features designed to capitalise on the World Cup.
The app, now on its fourth version, has been completely redesigned to more closely resemble the mobile-optimised website while the Gibraltar-based firm has also rolled out a host of new features.
In-play clocks for football matches have been addedwhile text commentary has also been included, echoing similar moves made recently by the likes of Ladbrokes and Betfair.
Customer accounts have also been overhauled to display betting history in a new format, while customer balances also now display on bet slips as well as in the account screen.
âWe are delighted with the developments to our app and being apple to offer the new features to all of our customers ahead of the 2014 World Cup,â Turlough Lally, director of mobile at BetVictor, said.
âOur research suggests that 80% of all bets made on the tournament will be done through mobile devices and with this update the experience will be made easier and better than ever.â
The appâs live streaming capabilities have also been boosted with the addition of South African horse racing content, while the operator has hinted that more updates and improvements are in the pipeline.
