BetVictor launches sports betting promotions app
Instabet uses push notifications to promote mobile-exclusive prices and offer one-tap bet placement
BetVictor has added to its portfolio of mobile applications by launching a push-driven quick-betting app called Instabet.
Instabet, the operatorâs fourth application, uses push notifications to deliver mobile-exclusive price enhancements on major sporting events for a pre-determined period of time.
Customers can sign in using their existing BetVictor account details, pre-programme a default stake and place a bet at exclusive price offers with just one tap.
BetVictor had announced it was to release a new âsimpleâ sports betting app in Q1 2014 as part of plans to grow its mobile business to 80% of revenues by 2015.
The operator launched the app last week and this week will see the first phase of its initial launch plan, with tonightâs Champions League fixture between Manchester City and Barcelona being the first of three football fixtures to be subject to an Instabet offer over the next few days.
BetVictor director of mobile Turlough Lally informed eGR Mobile Intelligence that the long-term plan is for all major sporting events to have an Instabet offer, with the Cheltenham horse racing festival in March set to feature heavily.
âFor the casual punter who bets across a range of sports and is interested in securing great odds on the headline markets â this app is a must,â Lally said.
BetVictor has worked with mobile app developers and previous Paddy Power collaborators Red 7 to develop the application, and mobile marketing firm Urban Airship has provided the push technology.
The app, available on both iOS and Android, also contains direct download links to BetVictorâs other betting and gaming apps including the sportsbook, in-play service and casino games.
