Camelot Lottery Solutions appoints former eBay COO as new chair
Former Amazon and eBay director appointed to helm of lottery supplier
Camelot Lottery Solutions appointed former eBay Europe COO David Kelly as its new chair, it was announced this week.
Kelly initially joined the board of the lottery technology supplier in November 2014, having previously served as an operations director at Amazon and COO of online travel retailer lastminute.com.
He is currently chairman of insurance firm Simply Business and travel operator On The Beach, also holding non-executive director roles at Reach Plc, The Gym Group and Holiday Extras.
Camelot Lottery Solutions provides lottery technology to 13 lotteries around the world, including the UK and Irish National Lotteries, Switzerland’s Lotterie Romande and nine other state lotteries in the US.

Wayne Pickup, Camelot Lottery Solutions CEO, highlighted Kelly’s “incredible pedigree” within online and technology focused businesses, adding this would be instrumental in building Camelot’s future success.
Commenting on his new role, David Kelly said he looked forward to working with Camelot’s existing management team, citing the companies “strong heritage” in building global lotteries with modern digital solutions.
“I look forward to working with the management team and board to continue the company’s legacy of driving responsible lottery growth by engaging players and increasing benefits returned to local communities,” Kelly added.
