Dragonfish extends contract with Costa Bingo
Dragonfish has extended its agreement with one of the busiest bingo sites in the UK, Costa Bingo, for another three years.
Dragonfish, the business-to-business (B2B) division of 888, has extended its agreement to provide Costa Bingo with its bingo product for another three years.
This follows Dragonfish’s extension of its B2B deal with its largest licensee, PartyGaming-owned Cashcade, the operator of Foxy Bingo.
Richard Skelhorn (pictured), chief executive of Costa, said the Dragonfish platform had “allowed us to focus our skills on player acquisition, which has been really important to the business over the last ten months. [We] look forward to launching new rooms on the Dragonfish platform this year.”
Costa’s use of the free bingo model helped it become one of the busiest bingo sites in the UK within just six months of its launch in July 2009, according to portal and data provider BingoPort.
Skelhorn recently told eGaming Review that he remains firmly focused on making Costa “one of the top three bingo rooms in the UK, not just in terms of traffic, but in revenue as well.”
Costa has also focused its marketing on the social networking space, modifying its bingo software with Dragonfish so that players can invite friends via Facebook and other networks.
Ignite Bingo, which runs the Costa affiliate platform, recently embarked on a deal with 888 to promote its 888ladies and 888 bingo brands.
Dragonfish has been shortlisted for two awards at the eGaming Review B2B Awards: bingo network of the year and bingo supplier of the year. The B2B Awards will take place on the first night of EGR Live, eGaming Review’s free conference and exhibition in London this month.
