Esports Entertainment Group seals Dignitas naming rights
Nasdaq-listed firm’s flagship brand VIE.gg to sponsor major CS:GO outfit
Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has expanded its partnership with leading esports organisation Dignitas to secure the naming rights for its world-famed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team. EEG’s flagship esports wagering platform VIE.gg will assume the naming rights for the team, having been an official partner as of June 2019. In addition to securing naming rights, VIE.gg will also be given branding space on Dignitas’ jerseys and the opportunity to roll out “strategic digital and physical activations within the New Jersey marketplace”. Grant Johnson, EEG CEO, said: “Dignitas is a true leader in the esports community. Expanding our existing partnership and placing our brand in front of the millions of engaged Dignitas fans around the world further demonstrates our commitment to growing VIE.gg into the leading wagering platform in esports globally.” Michael Prindiville, Dignitas CEO, added: “We are honoured to partner with an innovative, multinational brand like VIE.gg. “Our co-branded CS:GO team and the immense opportunity around esports betting content in our home state of New Jersey enable us to tell unique and engaging stories at the forefront of both esports betting and competition to millions of fans worldwide,” he concluded.
