FDJ turnover rises 8.5%
French operator sees earnings for 2011 financial year cross the 7bn threshold.
La Française des Jeux has seen turnover for the 2011 financial year rise 8.5% to 11.4bn, the French operator has revealed, while earnings are up 600m to 7.4bn.
The increases come at the end of a year which saw the operator’s French-licensed BarrierePoker JV secure a tie-in with Caesars Interactive Entertainment for the World Series of Poker Europe.
However FDJ slipped to 35th in the 2011 eGaming Review Power 50 on the grounds that just 3% of its business is generated online.
President and CEO Christophe Blanchard-Dignac said he hopes 2012 will see the group provide: “[An] offering that is both simple and entertaining, as well as innovations to better serve our customers and strengthen our commitments to society.”
