Flutter promotes Paddy Power Betfair exchange MD in trading reshuffle
Dominic Crosthwaite elevated to chief trading officer of operator’s newly formed UK and Ireland division
Flutter Entertainment has promoted former Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) exchange and sportsbook trading managing director Dominic Crosthwaite to chief trading officer of its UK and Ireland division. Crosthwaite most recently served as MD for the Irish-based betting operator’s exchange and sportsbook arm after starting the role in October 2018. Prior to that, he spent 10 months as MD for Flutter’s international business, working out of its Dublin office. Crosthwaite also served as exchange director for PPB for just over a year-and-a-half, during which time he was responsible for the Betfair Exchange in areas including commercial and strategic leadership of operations, product management and performance and planning. He spent seven years in charge of his own financial retail consultancy firm, Black Swan Partners, between 2008 and 2016. In his new role as CTO, Crosthwaite will be responsible for sportsbook trading and teams across Flutter’s UK and Ireland division from Dublin. He will report into Flutter UK and Ireland CEO Conor Grant. Flutter Entertainment has been on an extensive realignment path following its multi-billion-pound merger with The Stars Group (TSG) earlier this year, beginning with the splitting of the business into four distinct divisions based on regional exposure. As part of this, Grant was appointed to the post of CEO of the newly created UK and Ireland division, which encompasses the Paddy Power, Betfair UK and Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) brands. Earlier this month, former Sky Bet CTO Rik Barker was promoted to the role of chief information officer (CIO) for the Flutter UK and Ireland division.
