Flutter hits go on new €15.5m international headquarters

Flutter Entertainment has officially reopened its fully renovated 164,000 square foot state-of-the-art international headquarters in Dublin, a project which cost the Paddy Power operator €15.5m (£13m). The project is Flutter’s second major property-based renovation following the opening of a similar £15m tech and innovation hub in Leeds in October. The building which comprises of seven floors is located at the Belfield Office Park in the Clonskeagh suburb of Dublin and will host 1,700 Flutter employees. Roles situated at the headquarters include sports trading, technology, product development and innovation, marketing, HR, and customer operations with plans for further growth in the future. Flutter has said the headquarters will act as a “centre of excellence in technology and innovation”, while also supporting the local community in Dublin. The hybrid working influenced design of the workspace aims to create so-called ‘neighbourhoods’ to encourage collaboration, while reducing the carbon impact of the building as a whole. In line with the sustainability and ESG outlook, the building comprises of 72% glass surfaces which increases natural light while reducing pollution as well as a green ‘live’ roof, including three hives supporting thousands of bees. The honey that the bees produce will be available at some of Flutter’s on-site dining areas, including The Exchange restaurant and Gairdín Spéir terrace café. Other features include an indoor sports pitch. In addition to the office space, Flutter has officially launched the Market x Flutter convenience shop, Ireland’s first fully frictionless shop utilising more than 90 cameras as well as AI technology,  with Irish Minister for Special Education and Inclusion and local minister for Dublin Rathdown, Josepha Madigan cutting the ribbon on the retail premises. The shop will be open to both Flutter employees and members of the public, including those working at the Belfield Office Park. Flutter chief legal officer & group commercial director Pádraig Ó Ríordáin, who serves as executive lead for the Dublin office welcomed the move as a potential signpost for innovation. “Our new look global headquarters in Dublin encapsulates Flutter’s vision for the future of work.
