Flutter targets inclusion and diversity with newly created role
Former Sky Bet head of inclusion and people engagement steps up to groupwide post
Flutter Entertainment has promoted former Sky Betting and Gaming (SBG) head of inclusion and people engagement Greg McCaw to the newly created role of group director of inclusion and diversity. In his new role, McCaw will work with Flutter’s board and HR departments in identifying training and development opportunities for staff, and will also chair the FTSE 100 operators’ inclusion and diversity committee. He will report to Flutter’s group chief people officer Caroline Ross. McCaw spent three years at SBG, starting as a people engagement manager in November 2017 before being promoted to the head of people experience role in April 2019. He was later promoted again to the head of people engagement and inclusion role in 2020, spending a year in the role. During his time at SBG, McCaw worked to develop the firm’s inclusion strategy, which was recently recognised by the All-in Diversity Project, which aims to drive diversity, inclusion and workplace equality across the online gambling sector. McCaw has also worked in HR-related roles at UK retailer New Look and telecommunications heavyweight O2. “I’m delighted to welcome Greg to the team. He brings a wealth of experience, which the wider Group will benefit from as we continue to shape our inclusion and diversity strategy,” Ross said. “Our goal is for all colleagues to feel a shared sense of ownership in our business. “We want to build on our foundations to be a truly inclusive place to work, one where difference is celebrated and valued, because it is only when we all understand the role we play that we will really shift the dial. I’m really excited about what we can achieve together,” she added. McCaw is the latest SBG figure to transition to a role at Flutter following the merger of the two businesses in May 2020. He follows Karen Tyrrell, who moved to MD of transformation in October, and SBG director of compliance Ashley Padgett, who transferred in November to interim director of compliance and AML for the firm’s UK and Ireland division.
