Game Lounge recruits new chief strategy officer
Redeye analyst Kristoffer Lindström joins Cherry AB subsidiary in marketing and strategic role
Cherry AB’s Game Lounge subsidiary has appointed Kristoffer Lindström as its new chief strategy officer. In his new role, Lindström will focus on new product creation within lead-marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and business strategy, reporting to Game Lounge CEO Jonas Cederholm. Lindström confirmed the departure on Twitter late yesterday evening, paying tribute to former colleagues at his previous employer, Swedish analyst firm Redeye.
“I want to thank all readers of my research reports and all clients (companies and investors) I have had the pleasure to work with. And obviously also Redeye for providing great learning and growth for me over the past six-plus years,” he tweeted. “I see an exciting next couple of years for Game Lounge and by entering an operator role I’ll personally grow as an investor, as a person, and gain new skills.” Lindström spent more than six years with Redeye, employed as an equity analyst on stocks within the egaming sector. Prior to this, Lindström worked in Sweden’s financial services industry, starting with four years at Swedbank and later moving to the firm’s investment banking department, Swedbank Markets, in 2011 where he spent almost four years with the bank. Game Lounge CEO Jonas Cederholm said he was delighted by the appointment of Lindström. “He brings an exceptional combination of business acumen and strategic insights specifically within fintech and e-commerce,” said Cederholm. “Through deep analysis of market trends and industry dynamics, Kristoffer will help accelerate Game Lounges strategy to diversify its position as a market leader in lead generation as a whole and not only within online gambling,” Cederholm added. Cherry AB acquired 51% of Game Lounge in 2015 before taking a controlling stake in the business in 2018. The following year, the wider Cherry AB business was acquired by Swedish investment consortium EE Intressenter Bidco AB in an £806m deal.Personal news:
