GAMSTOP extends technology partnership with Data Shed
Self-exclusion scheme adds 18 months to existing deal with Leeds-based firm’s data and technology business
GAMSTOP has signed an 18-month extension to its technology partnership with data services firm Data Shed.
Leeds-based Data Shed, which was first appointed as a GAMSTOP partner in June 2018, will continue to support the self-exclusion site via its data and technology services.
Anna Sutton, CEO and co-founder of Data Shed, noted the extension reflects the good work the pair’s partnership has brought to the industry.
Sutton said: “We’re really pleased about our contract extension with GAMSTOP. We’re extremely proud of the work we’ve done to date to help get the service accepted into licence conditions for the whole industry.
“We’ve proven that our service is secure and flexible enough to allow operators to verify every registration and login against the exclusion register, without impacting the performance of operator services,” she added.
All UK online operators must be integrated with GAMSTOP after the scheme became a licence requirement in March.
Elsewhere, GAMSTOP has confirmed there has been a spike in users requesting to end their self-exclusion periods during the coronavirus-enforced lockdown.
