GeoComply first up for New Jersey supplier's licence
Geolocation service provider was the first to file for Ancillary Casino Service licence
Geolocation services provider GeoComply has become the first service provider to successfully file for an Ancillary licence in New Jersey.
The company confirmed it had filed its application with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), making it one of 37 companies to submit applications to the body.
Of the 37 applications received, the DGE confirmed that 12 were for marketing, payments and third-party service provider Ancillary Casino Service Industry Enterprise Licences.
“New Jersey is an important market for us and our customers and the fact that GeoComply was the first Internet Ancillary entity to successfully submit for licensing is an indication of our commitment to being ready for the market-opening in November,” said GeoComply USA CEO Anna Sainsbury.
In order to provide an offering for New Jersey citizens, operators will need to ensure that all online gaming activity originates from within state lines. GeoComply offers to facilitate the geolocation of online users not just for operators, but for regulators as well.
GeoComply has already made moves in the US market, having partnered with bwin.party last month and received a licence to operate in Nevada in June.
