Harrah's online president Pollack leaving today
Harrah's Interactive Entertainment (HIE) president and World Series of Poker (WSOP) commissioner Jeffrey Pollack is leaving the business today, less than six months after HIE was launched.
HARRAH’S INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT (HIE) president and World Series of Poker (WSOP) commissioner Jeffrey Pollack is leaving the business today.
Pollack finishes his time at the US casino giant’s egaming subsidiary, which is also responsible for managing the WSOP, less than six months after HIE was launched with the hire of former PartyGaming chief executive Mitch Garber.
Speaking to The Associated Press, Pollack said that his last day at HIE, which signed a business-to-business tie with Dragonfish in September, is “bittersweet,” but that he believes his goals at the WSOP have been accomplished, including growth under his tenure to include a series in Europe and 57 poker tournaments this year in Las Vegas.
The former NASCAR managing director and NBA vice president, who joined Harrah’s as vice president of marketing in 2005, said he hasn’t yet decided on his next move.
Harrah’s spokesman Seth Palansky said the business has no plans for an immediate replacement.
