A round-up of the latest launches and deals in the egaming industry including Colossus Bets and William Hill
Sports pools operator Colossus Bets has launched a new £1m jackpot pool to rival more traditional accumulator markets for the new football season. The Colossus HDA15 offers players the chance to place £2 and predict a home win, draw or away win in 15 fixtures, offering players the chance to win a minimum of £500,000 and a chance of winning a £500,000 bonus. Bernard Marantelli, CEO at Colossus Bets, said the HDA15 was different to other operators’ 1X2 pools as it will not shrink in size if won. “We will put [other 1X2 pools] to the sword and consolidate all players into a weekly pool with a minimum £1m prize, with the capacity to win £10m via our expanding stable of B2B partners, including Betdaq, Betfair and Boylesports,” he said.
William Hill signed its third betting partnership with a Premier League club this month, becoming Crystal Palace’s official betting partner for the 2014/15 season. The latest deal follows Hills becoming Aston Villa’s official UK and Ireland betting partner and its betting partnership with Southampton. “The Barclays Premier League is the most watched domestic football competition in the world “ and this deal with Palace gives us a gateway to introduce a whole new global audience to the William Hill brand,” Kristof Fahy, CMO at William Hill, said.
Meanwhile Coral Interactive signed a similar betting partnership deal with Premier League club Everton, becoming the club’s official European betting partner under a two-year agreement. The deal will also see the operator donate a significant contribution from stake proceeds to Everton’s community development program.
Yggdrasil Gaming has penned a deal with London-listed operator Unibet to provide the supplier’s entire casino portfolio for its Belgium and Estonia-facing websites while also launching its casino games with Nordic operator Mr Green. “This is our first foray into the regulated markets of Estonia and Belgium and we have our eyes on plenty more territories around Europe,” Fredik Elmqvist, chief executive at Yggdrasil Gaming, said.
Net Entertainment has bolstered its casino portfolio with the launch of two new slot games. Attraction and Blood Suckers Touch, a mobile-purposed version of the popular desktop title, are now available to all NetEnt licensees. “Both these slots highlight why NetEnt’s stand-out casino portfolio is so sought after,” Simon Hammon, chief product officer at NetEnt, said. “Attraction and Blood Suckers Touch take pride of place in our best-in-class catalogue and help consolidate our position as market leaders in the online casino domain.”
