A round-up of the latest launches and deals in the egaming industry, including Ladbrokes Australia and Amaya Gaming Group
Ladbrokes’ Australia-facing business has signed a sponsorship agreement with Australian A-League football club Brisbane Roar. The one-year deal is to run throughout the A-League’s 2014-2015 football season and will see advertising hoardings and signage placed around the football club’s Suncorp Stadium.
“Football is a growing and important part of our business and we look forward to working with a club as successful as the Roar throughout the partnership,” James Burnett, marketing director at Ladbrokes Australia, said.
Amaya Gaming Group confirmed that it had received a continuation licence from the GB Gambling Commission, allowing its PokerStars and Full Tilt brands to remain operational in the UK while it awaits receipt of a full operator’s licence. The firm will also launch new poker software on Monday 3 November with players set to transition over to the new product as of 2pm GMT.
Playtech-powered sportsbook brand Titanbet continued its promotional push in the UK by sponsoring its first ever National Hunt horseracing meet. Titanbet will sponsor Monday’s racing at Kempton Park racecourse as well as an additional twilight meeting in the future, taking the number of meetings sponsored by the operator to five.
“We’ve already seen some excellent results from our sponsorship deal with Kempton Park and I’m very excited about sponsoring a jumps meeting as we head into the National Hunt calendar,” Russel Yershon, spokesperson for Titanbet.co.uk, said.
Egaming supplier BetConstruct has extended its reach into Africa by signing a deal with Nigerian gaming firm UBC365. The agreement will see BetConstruct supply an online sports betting platform for the Lagos-based operator as well as a virtual betting platform and a number of casino games. A number of operational services have also been included in the deal and BetConstruct will provide 24/7 customer support.
Malta-licensed gaming firm GVC new has launched HTML5 mobile slots titles and table games provided by 1X2gaming on the mobile platforms of its betaland.com casino brand. “Our focus was to produce a balanced suite of both slots and table games and also to ensure they worked on all operating systems, including Android, iOS, Windows and Blackberry,” Kevin Reid, CMO at 1X2gaming, said.
