Majesco closes acquisition of RMG suppliers
Pariplay and Orid Media acquired by Majesco's co-owned gaming entity GMS Entertainment
Majesco Entertainment has closed the acquisition of the operations and assets of real-money games suppliers Pariplay and Orid Media.
Isle of Man-based Pariplay develops real-money gaming and social casino titles, with slots titles including Tiki Madness, Tokyo Nights and Pharaoh’s Gold comprising its portfolio.
Pariplay will continue to design and develop fixed-odds and random based games for online and mobile markets, with New Jersey-based Majesco highlighting the potential for other jurisdictions to regulate in the near future.
“The iGaming, iLottery and social gaming segments of the online gaming market are growing rapidly, and looking ahead, additional jurisdictions are expected to legalize real money online gaming and lottery, which will fuel further market expansion and opportunity for GMS Entertainment,” Jesse Sutton, CEO of Majesco Entertainment, said.
New Jersey is due to become the next US state to regulate online gambling when it goes live on 26 November following a five-day ‘soft play’ trial.
Majesco has invested between $3.5m to $4.5m for a 50% share in GMS Entertainment, which was launched to focus on real-money gaming and social casino markets.
Other shareholders in GMS Entertainment include ICQ founder and AppCard CEO Yair Goldfinger, who purchased 3.3 million shares in the company.
