Microgaming parent company shifts focus for more investments
Group has been renamed Apricot Investments and former CEO Roger Raatgever has been appointed executive chairman
Microgaming has shifted the focus of its parent company Microgaming Software Systems Ltd to establish more gaming-focused investments.
The company has been renamed Apricot Investments and according to Microgaming statement, will act as an “investment vehicle” to pursue wider interests in the industry.
CEO of the group, Roger Raatgever, has been appointed executive chairman to oversee the operations, while former CFO, John Coleman has been appointed CEO in Raatgever’s place.
Raatgever has acted as CEO of the group for 17 years while Coleman was CFO for almost 14 years.
On his new role Coleman said: “I am honoured to be leading Microgaming. This is a momentous time for the business, as we face exciting new opportunities in the years ahead.”
Speaking to EGR a Microgaming spokesperson said the day to day operations of the Isle of Man-based provider would not change.
