Mobile close to 50% of all deposits, 888 says
888 points to mobile for future growth as percentage of revenues top 33% in UK market during 2014
Mobile is responsible for over 40% of all deposits, and close to 50% of all registrations and first-time-deposits at 888, according to the latest figures released by the online gaming giant.
The firm said deposit volumes had grown from 0% of the business, when it launched mobile in 2012, to just over 40% in Q4 2014, while FTDs were now just short of 50%.
Record revenues and profits at the firm were driven by mobile growth in 2014, with mobile embedded across all verticals and a key part of its back office CRM marketing as well as the main acquisition channel.
“Underpinning our growth across verticals has been our leading mobile proposition as more and more customers choose to play on touch device,” Brian Mattingley, 888 CEO, said.
Bingo has seen the strongest growth on the mobile channels, but casino also performed well with the firm noting continued development on mobile would be a key growth driver in the vertical.
The UK market was the key territory for mobile in the period and the firm reported 33% of UK revenue coming through mobile in 2014, although it also pointed to successful launches in Spain and Italy.
“Mobile is having a transformational impact on our business,” Richard Kilsby, 888 chairman, said.
