Mobile half of all new NetPlay customers
Just over 50% of new customer registrations in Q2 were derived from mobile while platform contributes 36% of revenues
More than half of new customer registrations for NetPlay TV came from mobile or tablet users during Q2, the operator has revealed.
In a trading update released this morning, NetPlay revealed its mobile products have continued to perform strongly, helping drive a 38% increase in new depositing players and a 5% increase in total revenue to £7.4m.
Of that figure 36% – approximately £2.66m – was derived from mobile and tablet devices as revenue from the platform rose once again, up from the 26% of net revenue derived from mobile in the corresponding period last year.
The SuperCasino operator targeted mobile as a key growth driver this year and revealed in January it was set to launch several new products on the platform over the course of the year as it looked to capitalise on a 121% year-on-year increase in mobile net revenue in Q4 2013.
One such product NetPlay suggested could be released prior to this year’s World Cup was a mobile sportsbook – its first foray outside of the casino vertical – however a release has yet to take place.
