Nektan shows progress in trading update
Newly-listed mobile gaming supplier posts net gaming revenues of £250,000, says it's "encouraged" by US progress
Nektan posted net gaming revenues of £250,000 in the second half of 2014 this morning in its first trading update since listing on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in November.
The mobile gaming supplier saw cash stakes grow by more than 57% in the final quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2013, while average monthly real-money players grew by 237% over the same period.
In a brief trading update released this morning, Nektan said trading was in line with its Board’s expectations and that its directors have been “encouraged” by the continued development of the commercial pipeline, including the US joint venture with Spin Games.
“The Board expects these projects to significantly underpin the material increase in trading as forecast during calendar year 2015,” the company said in a statement.
Nektan announced a joint venture with online and land-based slots developer Spin Games, which will see it launch in-venue mobile gaming to the US market, in November.
Last month eGR reported that London business newspaper City A.M. partnered with Nektan to become the latest media brand to launch an online gaming product.
