PGA Tour launches betting content site after six-figure domain acquisition
US golf body partners with The Action Network as betting content goes live under GolfBet moniker
The PGA Tour has made a further push into US sports betting after launching an affiliate partnership with media publisher The Action Network.
GolfBet – powered by The Action Network – went live on Monday after PGA Tour approached the publisher with the opportunity to launch a media partnership, according to Digiday.
EGR Intel understands the deal was accelerated following PGA Tour’s six-figure acquisition of the GolfBet.com domain in January.
That URL now links back to a golf news section on The Action Network website, which includes sportsbook reviews alongside betting guides and calculators.

Action Network CEO Patrick Keane told Digiday there would be an eight-person team dedicated to producing content covering topics like betting strategy and analytics across written, video and podcasts. The content will also be distributed across the PGA’s portfolio of digital channels.
The content combination marks the PGA Tour’s second move to legitimise its involvement in legalised sports betting, having last year signed a data partnership with IMG Arena.
