PKR bolsters management team with batch of new hires
Online poker operator has attracted talent from the likes of Ladbrokes and bwin.party
Online poker operator PKR has bolstered its management team after hiring a quartet of executives boasting experience from the likes of Ladbrokes and bwin.party.
The new hires have joined its marketing and payments teams, with Stephan Clavel having arrived from bwin.party as head of CRM.
New head of payments Krishna Brennan has been brought in after five years at Ladbrokes, while Alexandra Mihaiu has joined as head of affiliates after holding similar positions at Betclic and Matchbook.
Meanwhile PKR said the appointment of Barbara Polignano as head of VIP casino from Betway reinforced the operator’s increased focus on casino and games.
The appointments come after a series of departures from the online poker operator, with PKR co-founder and COO Leon Walters left back in February followed by CEO Malcolm Graham exiting in May.
Graham was replaced by former managing director at Sportingbet and MyLotto24 Neil Alexander, however he left the role after just two months.
Former bwin.party director of poker Chris Welch was named as Alexander’s successor, having acted as a consultant to PKR for a number of months.
“We’re delighted to bring such high quality staff on board,” Welch said. “Their wealth of experience will be vital as we look to move the business into a true multi-product offering.
“We have some very exciting plans for the business in 2016 and these hires will play a key role in driving business growth,” he added.
