Playson unveils Vsevolod Lapin as new COO
Digital casino supplier promotes head of product to C-level role to support firm’s international expansion efforts
Playson has announced that Vsevolod Lapin has been appointed chief operating officer (COO) as the online slots provider looks to increase its market presence in Europe and beyond. Having previously worked as head of product for the group, Lapin’s promotion to COO is designed to support the recent decision by Playson to introduce a refreshed brand identity, with his 10+ years of experience in strategic marketing seen as a significant asset for helping the new-look product gain traction. In addition to enforcing the new Playson brand position, Lapin will also be tasked with overseeing the company’s product portfolio, game production, tools creation and market expansion as it looks to deliver its casino games and supporting promotional tools to an even greater number of customers worldwide. Lapin first joined Playson as a product manager in 2017, but was swiftly promoted to head of product within eight months of his arrival. Prior to that, he held a senior brand manager position at The Coca-Cola Company and had other brand manager roles at Jacobs Douwe Egberts and Mondelēz International. Commenting on the decision to elevate Lapin to COO, Alex Ivshin, Playson CEO, said: “Everyone at Playson is pleased to have Vsevolod as our new chief operating officer. We’re adamant he will deliver fantastic results for the company. During his time with us, Vsevolod has consistently shown he’s hardworking, passionate and dedicated to bringing the next wave of exciting products to our offering.” Lapin commented: “I’m thankful for the opportunity to contribute in this new role, which also brings forward fresh challenges. It’s a very special moment for me, especially since the news comes at such a pivotal time for Playson. “As we march onwards with our new brand identity, we’ll only continue enhancing our position across the igaming industry.”
