Sky Betting and Gaming has added push messaging functionality to its iOS Sky Bingo app in its first update for more than nine months.
Push messaging â now common among online gambling apps â will be used to directly send promotional material and special offers to a userâs mobile device.
Sky Bingo said it would offer mobile-exclusive promotions in the future to app customers.
The operator also revealed that mobile versions of more popular desktop Sky Bingo titles are to be added âsoonâ.
A welcoming tour for first-time users of the app has also been added, while users can now rate the app easily at the bottom of the screen.
App store ratings have come to be increasingly important as a means of differentiation between apps as competition in app stores has intensified.
