Red Tiger chief Gavin Hamilton handed NetEnt COO role
Slots giant eyes quicker than anticipated integration after creating combined management role
NetEnt has appointed Red Tiger chief executive Gavin Hamilton as its new chief operating officer with immediate effect.
Hamilton will operate dual roles after accepting the new C-level position at the combined business, following NetEnt’s £223m September acquisition of Red Tiger.
According to NetEnt, appointing a group COO is a vital step towards accelerating the full integration of Red Tiger, which the slots giant wants to complete “sooner rather than later”.
The integration is already underway following the release of Piggy Riches Megaways and the launch of Red Tiger on the NetEnt Connect platform.
Hamilton has served as Red Tiger CEO since September 2017 and previously spent more than five years in gaming roles with Paddy Power Betfair.

NetEnt CEO Therese Hillman
In an email seen by EGR, NetEnt CEO Therese Hillman said: “The appointment of Gavin, giving him the dual role and tying Red Tiger closer to NetEnt makes sense in just about every way.
“Bringing product and commercial business units from both NetEnt and Red Tiger into one single reporting line allows us to collaborate and align even more.
“Having a common plan ensures the best opportunity for us to achieve NetEnt Group goals, both long term and short term,” she added.
Yggdrasil’s Björn Krantz held the NetEnt COO role prior to the Red Tiger acquisition.
