Rightlander expands affiliate compliance tool to 35 new countries
Jurisdictions from Europe, the US and Australia now covered by new geo-targeted version of the tool
Affiliate compliance tool Rightlander has announced the expansion of its scanning capabilities to a further 35 new jurisdictions including the US, Australia, Sweden, Greece, Germany and The Netherlands.
The new geo-targeted version of the scanning tool, which is UK based, visits affiliate sites from around the globe and looks for specific words, phrases, terms and conditions, images and events, producing alerts that identify potential compliance issues for businesses.
Operators including LeoVegas, GVC, Kindred Group, ALEA and BGO have already signed up to utilise the tool which has scanned over 240,733 affiliate pages in the last month, looking for any words, phrases or images which may link client brands to potentially non-compliant marketing messages.
Addressing the expansion, Rightlander CEO and founder Ian Sims said: “Rightlander’s priorities are largely driven by our clients’ requirements and we provide data to several large companies dealing in multiple regulated or soon to be regulated territories, so it was only a matter of time before we expanded beyond the UK.”
Recent regulatory changes in the Australian, US and Swedish markets have made the issue of affiliate compliance more important than ever, particularly in Sweden, where a new regulatory regime is to take effect from 1 January 2019.
Sims added: “The immediate priority for several of our clients seems to be to ensure that affiliates marketing their brands in Sweden are clean and compliant before the regulations kick in. We also have clients with a pressing need to explore the affiliate site landscape in Greece and Australia whose regulatory regime is already causing issues with affiliate marketing.”
