Ladbrokes released a new iOS application for its Ladbrokes Exchange product, adding to the mobile web versions it released a month after the desktopâs product launch in November last year. Optimised for both iPhone and iPad, the latter version also includes live horserace streams while push technology is used to update users on price moves.
Bwin.party rolled out a new upgrade to its iOS app featuring a host of new customisable features. The appâs navigation bar and a new overview page can now be customised by the user to display favoured sports or particular markets while statistics have also been added in a move similar to Betfairâs Betting.Betfair sporting insight app, released earlier this year.
A new report issued by mobile analytics firm Flurry found that average daily mobile usage increased by 2.5% over the course of the past year to 2 hours 42 minutes, with native apps continuing to dominate that time spent. The report also revealed that Facebookâs share of time spent diminished year-on-year despite the addition of Instagram to its portfolio, falling from 18% in 2013 to 17% this year.
Betfred.comâs mobile development arm Degree 53 boosted its sales and marketing team with the hire of Stefan Rodgers as its new sales and marketing director. Rodgersâ role will include assembling an internal sales and marketing team to boost its existing portfolio of online gaming clients and comes as part of an expansion plan that will see the Degree 53 team exceed 40 employees in the coming months.
Sky Betting and Gaming added push messaging functionality to its iOS Sky Bingo app as part of the first update to its app for more than nine months. The capability will be used to offer mobile-exclusive promotions in the future, with more desktop bingo games set to be added to the app âsoonâ.
