This weekâs news includes both Twitter and Google opening up mobile installation adverts and new releases from Realistic GamesÂ
Google has revealed plans to offer targeted app install ads on its mobile search advertising network AdMob and on video hosting service YouTube. Businesses will be able to promote app installs and target specific customers based on search data already compiled by Google, which will include apps already downloaded and any particular purchases made.
The move follows a similar one undertaken by mobile advertising firm MoPub which has made native install ads available on Twitter for the first time. MoPub has issued a software development kit allowing a customised advertising unit and server to be put together, allowing advertisers to target advertising using block lists as well as device and location data.
Casino games developer Realistic Games has released a new suite of mobile pull tab games to its licensees. Players can select a value and press the start button before using a smartphoneâs touch screen to pull at a perforated tab displayed on screen to reveal if they have won. âPull tabs are great little games and itâs been a lot of fun bringing them back to life with the technologies that are available these days,â Andy Harris, commercial director at Realistic Games, said.
Mobile games developer Intouch has adopted the Unity game engine to launch all forthcoming titles across all platforms simultaneously. Intouch, which owns the mFortune mobile casino brand, had previously developed each game for a specific platform but is to now switch to what it has labelled a more âholistic approachâ. âWe are constantly researching new methods to improve the development process,â Emil Nestor, technical director at mFortune, said.
Social casino firm Gamzio is to enter the mobile real-money gaming sector with the launch of a new casino iOS app, which it claims to be in the final stages of approval by Apple. The firm has partnered with software supplier CashBet for the appâs development, having previously agreed a deal with the firm in January this year.
