This weekâs round-up includes news of a new mobile casino targeting the UKâs Asian demographic and A Bet A launching a new SMS-based betting service
Casino Raj is targeting the UKâs âneglectedâ Asian audience by launching a new HTML5 mobile casino with whitelabel supplier Locus Gaming. Casino content from Microgaming, Realistic Games and Aristocrat will be joined by a live casino product from Evolution Gaming on the Locus Gaming turnkey platform, and the site will operate under Locusâ Isle of Man licence.
Bookmaker Geoff Banks has collaborated with online commerce firm A Bet A to develop a new SMS betting service, targeted at offline betting firms. Providing they have an account with the bookmaker customers can text the system with a bet using key words, and the system then replies with an acknowledgement and receipt message. Customers can also request their balance with the bookmaker, top-up their account or withdraw winnings using the technology.
Casino and sportsbook operator Mobilbet is targeting the World Cup with the launch of a new mobile site, developed by Comeon! Europe. The agreement between Comeon and Frontloop Media has led to Mobilbet adopting the same platform used to launch the Scandinavian sites SuomiKasino.com and Folkeautomaten.com in the last year, and Mobilbet will also adopt Comeonâs loyalty program.
Betfair continued with its recent round of app upgrades by updating its iOS exchange application. The update has changed the logo on the exchangeâs listing page and added a new market view for its football coverage, with Betfair claiming it to be easier to access other markets during a match.
Sports betting affiliate Oddschecker added to its stable of mobile products with the release of an iPad-optimised application. The release comes four months after it released its first smartphone app, which it labelled as ârevolutionaryâ at the time.
